TFS vNext new feature: Using a Master Backlog for Teams

January 29, 2012

Gregg Boer recently posted on how to create and use a Master Backlog for Teams in the upcoming version of TFS. This functionality is new to vNext and will be beneficial to multiple teams working off of the same Product Backlog. For those unfamiliar with the Product Backlog, think of it as your prioritized list of work to do on a development project. This work hasn’t been started on yet since it is not in the timeframe (sprint) of work that the team is currently working on. Soon I’ll post on how teams will be able to take advantage of the new Team functionality, define capacity for the team and use the Product Backlog.
