So much for trying to create a virtual machine with the Windows 8 Developer preview on a Wednesday night. Shannon Fritz http://blog.concurrency.com/infrastructure/dual-boot-windows-8-from-vhd-using-windows-setup/ has a good writeup on dual booting to a Win8 VHD.
